At Cahaba Spay and Neuter, we are a high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter clinic committed to providing excellent and affordable surgical services while fostering education and mentorship for veterinarians, veterinary students, and support staff. We are committed to provide the best possible experience and support for our patients and our clients.

Who we serve

Cahaba Spay and Neuter offers comprehensive spay and neuter surgical services to a diverse range of clients, including animal shelters, rescue organizations, and local pet owners. The clinic also accepts surgical referrals from veterinary hospitals and emergency veterinary facilities throughout the region. By providing affordable, high-quality surgeries, Cahaba Spay and Neuter plays a critical role in preventing economic euthanasia, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent animals from receiving essential sterilization procedures that promote healthier pet populations and reduce unwanted litters.

Cahaba Spay and Neuter staff regularly engage in both national and international spay/neuter campaigns, dedicating their expertise and resources to support communities and animals worldwide. By partnering with global organizations and local groups, they help implement high-impact surgical programs that reduce overpopulation and promote animal health across diverse regions. Our commitment to these initiatives reflects our mission to improve animal welfare universally, ensuring that underserved populations receive the essential care needed to create healthier, more sustainable environments for animals everywhere. Dr. Long has participated in spay and neuter campaigns in St. Lucia, St. Martin, Puerto Rico, Hawai’i, and Houston.
