    June Long, DVM

    Owner

    Dr. June Long graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She has been performing high quality, high volume, spay neuter (HQHVSN) surgeries for close to 10 years, and has completed about 40,000 procedures! She is passionate about mentoring other veterinarians and has a formal mentorship program that has attracted practitioners from all over the country.

    Clinic Manager

    Henry brings over 12 years of public education experience, 6 years of which being in public school administration, to Cahaba Spay and Neuter. Henry has significant familiarity with establishing community partnerships, inventory management, safety, community education, social media, and technology.

  • Jessica Atchison

    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Jessica has been working with animals for eight years. She continues to find deep fulfillment in her career. She earned her Veterinary Technology degree from Jefferson State Community College and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2021. She is exceptionally skilled in veterinary anesthesia and spay/neuter practices. She has participated in multiple spay/neuter projects, including multiple trips to Houston, Texas and to the island of St. Martin. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her animals and lifting weights.

  • Carol Armstrong

    Veterinary Assistant

    Carol has five years of experience as a veterinary assistant and is dedicated to providing compassionate care and creating a calm, comforting environment for both patients and their owners. Animal well-being is at the heart of everything she does. Born in Texas but raised in Alabaster, she is the proud parent of three amazing children. When she is not busy with family life, she enjoys discovering new places in nature and making memories with the people she loves. She plans to enroll into a veterinary technology school and become a licensed veterinary technician.

  • Diana Diego

    Veterinary Assistant

    Diana was born and raised in Birmingham, and has over 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine. She has extensive experience working with shelter animals and in high quality, high volume spay neuter clinics. She is passionate about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, the reduction of animal overpopulation, preventing animal homelessness, and improving community health. At home she cares for one cat and a bearded dragon. She enjoys hiking and rock climbing in her free time.
